Central Superior Service (CSS)

CSS Competitive Examination is held by the FPSC every year for induction of officers in Basic Pay Scale 17 into the civil services of the federation, for the following 12 Groups/ Services under the federal government.

1.        Police Service of Pakistan 2.        Pakistan Administrative Services (PAAS) 3.        Customs
4.        Foreign Service of Pakistan 5.        Inland Revenue Service 6.        Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service
7.        Railways (Commercial & Transportation) Group 8.        Information Group 9.        Military Lands & Cantonments Group
10.      Commerce & Trade Group 11.      Postal Group 12.      Office Management Group

 

Eligibility: Both Male & Female Candidates Citizens of Pakistan

Qualification: Graduate (2nd Division) From a Recognized University.

Age:       21 To 30 Years. In The Case Of Government Officials Upper Age Limit Shall Be 32 Years

Number of Chances: Only Three Chances Are Allowed To a Candidate

 Subject & Syllabus: The examination will be conducted in the six compulsory subjects (600 marks) and   optional subjects (600 marks). (Total=1500 marks Written=1200 marks +Viva Voce=300 marks)

Optional Subjects (600 marks):

All the candidates shall take optional subjects of 600 marks each  from designated groups: (you cannot select papers of more than 200 marks out of one group as per FPSC Policy).

Provincial Management Service (PMS)

Services & General Administration Department.

Eligibility: Both Male & Female Candidates Citizens of Pakistan domiciled in any district of the province of Punjab.

Qualification: Graduate (Second Division) From a Recognized University.

Age: 21 To 28 Years. In The Case Of Government Officials Upper Age Limit Shall Be 35 Years

Number of Chances: Only Three Chances Are Allowed To a Candidate

Subject & Syllabus: The examination will be conducted in the following six compulsory subjects (600 marks) and three optional subjects (600 marks). Detail of the papers is given below:-

Written Examination:
(1)   English Essay (An Essay On One Of The Several Specified Topics) (Subjective)   100 Marks
(2)   English (This Paper Is Intended To Test The Ability Of The Candidates In Functional English Comprising Précis Writing, Translation From Urdu Into English, Composition And Usage Of Idioms). (Subjective)   100 Marks
(3)   Urdu (Paper Of Urdu (Compulsory) Will Comprise Of Essay Writing, Precis, Explanation Of Poetic Verses, Translation From English, Idioms And Their Usage.) (Subjective)   100 Marks
(4)   Islamic Studies

Ethics (For Non-Muslims Candidates)

(Combination Of Both Subjective & Objective)   100 Marks
(5)   Pakistan Studies (Combination Of Both Subjective & Objective)   100 Marks
(6)   General Knowledge (Objective)   100 Marks
(7)   Psychological Test And Interview     200 Marks

All the candidates shall take all the compulsory subjects and three of the optional subjects of 200 marks each. (Not more than one from any group) from the following groups:
