Our organization was recently approved for our 501(c)(3), which means that we have been coded by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt, charitable organization. Our nonprofit organization, H.E.R. (Help, Elevate and Rebuild) Journey Transitional Housing Inc., will help women, men, and their children that have been affected by domestic violence and those who are trying to escape their situation, to be provided a safe haven to help in elevating their status and rebuild their future through targeted education. The goal of H.E.R. is to obtain an apartment-style building to accommodate 14 individual families as well as 10 single-units for individuals of domestic encounters.
